da apostebet: According to TeessideLive, Middlesbrough have missed out on Everton attacker Yannick Bolasie to Aston Villa, and the Championship outfit should now switch their attention to Bakary Sako, who is still a free agent.
What’s the word, then?
da brdice: Boro were said to be confident of securing a deal for Bolasie, who has been made surplus to requirements at Everton following the arrival of Marco Silva as head coach.
On Monday night, Boro looked to have won the race, but the situation has now changed, and according to Teesside Live, Bolasie is now heading for Aston Villa.
Boro simply cannot afford to dwell on the disappointment, however, and should now be switching their attention to free agent Sako.
The 30-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs since leaving Crystal Palace on a free transfer at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
It is thought that the majority of the interest in Sako is coming from the Championship, and Boro should not pass up the chance to sign the versatile attacker.
Why should Boro move for Sako?
The Mali international moved to the English game in 2012 – joining Wolverhampton Wanderers from Saint-Etienne.

Sako scored 38 times in 124 appearances for Wolves before joining Palace, and he netted twice in 20 Premier League matches during his first season at Selhurst Park.
The attacker actually scored six times in 19 appearances for Palace last term, which is a strong record, but was deemed surplus to requirements at the end of the season.
It is not a surprise that there has not been Premier League interest in Sako, but the 6ft ace has a record of 24 goals and 21 assists in 78 Championship appearances.
And there is no question that Championship defences would be wary of the versatile attacker – valued at £4.5m by Transfermarkt – if he moved to the Riverside Stadium this summer.
