The 18-year-old superstar was unveiled to the cheering crowds on Saturday after he completed his eagerly-anticipated switch to the Spanish capital. Full of joy and with his parents visibly emotional in the audience, Endrick explained: "I have no words to describe what I'm feeling. I've always wanted to be here and play for Real Madrid. This is a dream. I have achieved our dream, not just mine, but also for my family. It is for them."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Endrick is tipped to become one of the best players in the world, potentially ever, and that is recognised in the mammoth €60 million (£50.7m/$65.2m) fee paid to bring the teenager to Spain from Brazil. The young striker announced himself to the European stage when he scored his first Brazil goal aged 17 against England at Wembley. Endrick scored 14 goals in 40 games for Palmeiras in Brazil's Serie A and will hope to keep living his dream by netting his first in the white of Madrid.

Fortunately for Endrick, he may well be given time to find his footing in Spain before the weight of the world is thrust upon his young shoulders. The arrival of Kylian Mbappe will certainly help ease the goal-scoring burden as the pair join a glittering attack already comprising of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham – a selection headache for Carlo Ancelotti.
