da jogodeouro: Let’s face it – when news of AFC Bournemouth’s initial promotion to the Premier League first broke at the end of the 2014/15 campaign, very few within the English footballing community admittedly gave Eddie Howe’s side a hope in hell of successfully surviving the threat of relegation this season.
da marjack bet: The task was simply deemed too much for the determined Cherries at first, but as several other sides among the English top-flight have certainly fared a great deal worse than Bournemouth in 2015/16, maybe this is a team that do in-fact have what it takes to survive after all…
Since completing some rather high profile signings in the shape of Juan Iturbe, Benik Afobe and Lewis Grabban this January – and subsequently being linked with current AC Milan attacker, Stephan El Shaarawy, in recent weeks – perhaps the Vitality Stadium faithful have every reason to remain confident in 2015/16.
So then, could AFC Bournemouth really complete the signing of El Shaarawy before the close of the January transfer window, or does this particular deal ultimately seem like a transfer too far for Eddie Howe’s side right in the here and now?

Well, although this move does admittedly feel a little unlikely on the surface, perhaps such a notion shouldn’t seem too unrealistic in light of the Premier League’s growing popularity and financial pulling-power in the modern era.
Bournemouth are only after the 23-year-old former Italian international on loan at this stage after all, and as Stephan El Shaarawy has certainly failed to set the French game alight this season with AS Monaco, maybe a swift move away from Ligue 1 is just what the doctor ordered for the quick-footed attacker this January.
Although the player in question has seemingly been written off by his long-term employers at AC Milan in recent weeks, it seems as if this one time favourite among the Italian Serie A nonetheless deserves another chance to really make a name for himself sooner rather than later. The Vitality Stadium could therefore provide El Shaarawy with that perfect opportunity this January, even if Bournemouth still have a great deal of work to do when it comes to avoiding relegation in 2015/16.
The former Genoa and Padova man unfortunately struggled with a succession of testing injuries during his later playing days at AC Milan, and although the Italian game has largely forgotten just how explosive this attacking wide-man could once prove among Serie A, a fair amount of potential still seemingly resides in Stephan El Shaarawy at this stage in his career.
The former Italian international only remains a mere 23-years-old right now of course, meaning that he still has enough years left in the tank to reverse his current plight among the European footballing scene, and finally reassert his dominance within a club that could truly appreciate his potentially exciting exploits out on the pitch.
When it comes to taking on defenders with daring style inside the final third, launching a range of impressive long-shots from just outside the opposition’s penalty box, and linking up effectively with the rest of his teammates far more often than not – this is a player who once represented a very talented asset just a few short seasons ago. The Bournemouth crowd would nevertheless take to someone like El Shaarawy somewhat immediately at first guess, simply based on his prior reputation at the San Siro alone.
However, as the 23-year-old creative midfielder would probably demand a rather hefty wage-packet with all things considered, perhaps such a burden could ultimately prove too much for a club of Bournemouth’s size. It doesn’t seem entirely impossible for this move to take place at the end of the day or course, but it still seems rather unlikely seeing as a great deal of resources have already been spent down at the Vitality Stadium this January.
So, whilst such a deal can’t help but feel somewhat improbable in the cold light of day, you can never say never when it comes to AFC Bournemouth it seems, and their obvious determination to remain among the English-top-flight next season.
